I’ve eaten at lots of fast food in ny and never seen anything like this. I went half hearted but when I saw the lines, I just had to have it.

Agreed, we have one here in Potomac MD. The burger is tiny for the price you pay, the fries are average...but it is always crowded mostly parents and kids....

It is something new to most/area; thus the crowd. Over time, it will just be another fast food eating joint. I don’t see a big deal about it, one way or the other. Free enterprise system at work.

I've never tried Shake Shack, but I work on Northwestern State University's campus in Natchitoches and just read the other day that one is coming to campus. I will report my thoughts if this thread is still around when they open.

best part of the announcement:

Shake Shack also plans to open a location inside the new terminal at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, which is set to open in mid-May.

It will be open before the airport...
