Indeed. Everything is digital now. The signal is 0's and 1's. It's either there or it isn't. There is no quality difference between cheap and expensive, in terms of image or sound.

I have had terrible luck with Monoprice's cables. I prefer Amazon basics.

Extended warranties are usually a rip off. If the unit will go bad, it generally happens within the regular warranty period. Save yourself the money.
