I'm not saying that he is or isn't trash, or that he should or shouldn't be a Saint....merely that using any logic coming out of Oakland to determine if a player is any good or not is kind of a fool's errand given the current management over there....

No debating that. Gruden took this job to compete this year with (at the time) that talent. But when he decided that he won’t meet with Mack and his reps regarding his deal it was the beginning of the end. He’s now gone in a full rebuild mode unintentionally, and is fighting an uphill battle to get back the fans that abandoned him. I never understood the mindset of people who don’t delegate necessary tasks. Btw, has anyone discussed on here the fact that Gruden has his own draft board and took the UCLA tackle even though the whole room was without a doubt (based on board and need) to take Derwin James? Reggie McKenzie will be fired and it will set them back 3 years because Gruden won’t hire a true GM to handle personnel.

Because Gruden is cleaning house and getting whatever he can for guys. He wants them gone so he can build his own team. He's going to have to take less than their original draft position - especially in a case like this where the player hasn't lived up to their draft status - when you're openly advertising trading every single star on your team.

They have 3 stars and no one has talked about them as being traded. LG Osemele, C from KC, drawing a blank on name, and RG Gabe Jackson. Those are their 3 best players.
