They didn't play lights out great but they stepped up when it mattered most in yesterday's game against the Falcons. Big time sack by Cam Jordan when Atlanta was trying to seize the momentum. Granderson knocking down passes and Chase Young with the monstrous sack that really stemmed the tide late!!!

CY seems to play better in higher pressure situations, he was getting his best snaps during the last few ATL drives. He got a pressure that lead to an incomplete right before he got the game clinching sack. I don’t know if anyone noticed, but the De’s got away from Das traditional style of contain while rushing the passer. Yesterday they were sim0ly trying to beat their man rushing the passer. Of course it helped to have a statue in cousins that they didn’t have to try and containing him from running. They’ll probably play the same way vs Jameis.

First I am more than happy we won. Very happy the defense came up big at the end. But for most of the game, the line was just horrible. Big runs after big runs and seeing our guys being push around and seeing Cousin having all day to throw was just frustrating to watch. We are near the bottom of the league in pressure. To me the defensive line is the most disappointing area. All the hype coming out of training camp was just that. Due to injuries and trade, I expect other areas to struggle a bit, but for the most part that defensive line is pretty much healthy. I don't see how anyone can excuse their poor performance so far this year. Not predicting what will happen but that line needs to play better than they have been.
