Also, I'm a very anxious person and have been since battling with a drug addiction for 10 years now...I find that the more anxious I get, the worse the "jumps" are...it's good knowing it isn't a physical problem, but very frustrating not being able to control my anxiety well enough for them to go away.

wow I’m not crazy.

well yea, I am crazy but not uniquely so.

thank you. It is a relief. I am familiar with panic attacks so honestly that was a comfort to know they never killed me. It’s even more comfortable now. I’ve learned to embrace them. I’ve chased things I have found to exhilarate me my whole life. I just would prefer to not have any of them when I’m trying to fall asleep.
Yes, I too am feeling more comfort now that I have seen someone dealing with the exact problem I have had for years...I honestly have not met anyone untill now that has gone through this.

makes me feel like there is something on the web about it if we nailed the right keyword search. I’ll pass it on should I find anything.

Although, the ones we are experiencing are little bit beyond just hypnic jerks...there's a strong sense of panic/gasping for air before the jerk.

And FYI, my panic attacks came during a long addiction to Xanax. When my drinking was at its worst I was having to take 2 to 3 xanbars a day to keep from trembling through my nine to five. The attacks started when I didn’t take enough or when I was weening off of them. I’ve been clean of those for like 14 or 15 years and free of the drinking for 5. But I would not be surprised at all if it’s not somehow related. I was on those that heavy for a good 7 or 8 years. They screw your nerves up aweful. And I have been addicted to everything. They are the worst thing bar none to come off of.

Have you or a loved one been exposed to @Zack Lee and diagnosed with hypnic jerks? Do you have legal questions? Are you entitled to compensation? The specialists at Scorpius the Allfather Inc. are here to help you.

I want my cut you leech. Probably going to get a million dollar settlement and each affected family is going to get enough to split a smashed moon pie.

hmm...never really had a problem with Xanax...mine was Lortabs and Opana, then Adderall, then MDMA....both Adderall and MDMA can reek havoc on your nervous system...
Especially when doing the amounts I was, staying up for days at a time...it's really no different than meth. :covri:

I've been clean for almost 10 months, but I think that's the root of my anxiety problem still. Who knows how long I will be dealing with this.

your right about the nervous system. I did those as well but for nowhere near the extent of the Xanax. I’m just glad to be alive really so I can deal with the damage I’ve done.

congrats on your clean time!
