I'm not knocking Sean Payton by any means (look at his results so far!), but I question his use of Reggie Bush on some running plays. After Deuce pounds the crap out of the defense, he inserts Bush near the goalline....this has happened all year. Bush found the corner with his speed in the playoff game, but he's hardly the perfect fit when it's first and goal from the 5. Then we have a gadget pitch play to Bush when we needed a tough yard or so at the end of the Eagles game with time on our side.....only to have a turnover.

Has anyone screamed "Deuce....Deuce" at the TV in these situations? In the crunch the last few games, Deuce has been an animal. I would like to see him tote the rock when we need some tough yards rather than Bush. Again, this is no disrespect to Payton or the talent of Mr. Bush.....I just have the utmost confidence in Deuce McAllister right now......

I suppose sometimes you would like McCarthy back also. I'll keep trusting our current coaching staff, thank you.

Deuce is human...something most of you don't realize.

He has to take plays off just like anyone else. Sat. Deuce would go 3 or 4 plays..then Reggie would spell him for a play or so. Just the way it goes.

Personally I thought he got away from Deuce a little too much the entire game. However, Drew has carried the team most of the year and I do trust Payton. I don't mind seeing Reggie near the goal line - just to get him out in space and make a player or two miss.

We won and Duece is fit for the next game......Payton got it right.....nuff said :)

At first I thought that, too, but I think that is all the genius of Payton. He was saving Duece for later in the fourth quarter when we put a dagger in their hearts...and it worked.

Duece has plenty of TD's this seaason plus Reggie causes a lot of teams to worry.

The way Payton used Deuce was genius.... He saw a weakness and used it when he needed it most.

Think about it, Deuce is running all over them, they adjust to the run, we pass, we keep deuce fresh, we run a fresh deuce all over a team that hasn't had the time to find an answer for him to close the game.

Those TV guys, theres a reason Payton is coach of the year and they're calling games...

You also have to remember that Deuce is coming off of ACL surgery and no matter what anyone says he's still not at 100%(it takes awhile to get back. to normal about a year.)...which is scary. Just think about next year for Deuce. He will be more of a monster, he did get over a 1000 yards this season which is remarkable.

Plus Deuce kinda got up slow with a limp earlier in the game and Payton doesn't want to take any chances, plus with Reggie backing him up it's not a real drop off is it?

It's quite easy to tell why sean payton did that. They were over-adjusting for the inside run, so Sean Payton sought to catch them by surprise with an outside by bush. We've seen it so many times.. defenses over compensate for either an inside run, or a deep pass, and Bush nails them for it.

In the NFC Championship Game, unbelievbale and OUTSTANDING! I would offer, however, had we lost Coach P would have heard these two questions during the post game conf:

1. Why did you not use Deuce when you had the 3 pt league and the ball with about 8-9 mins to go in the 4th quarter...he didn't even see the field on the very short 3 and out drive?

2. Why even run the pitch/toss to Bush in the 4th quarter when all we needed were more first downs?

I seriously hope we do take a little from those two moments...with that said the DEF played great in the 4th quarter and it is on to Chi!
