Raiders vs. Saints: Snap count leaders and playing time percentages - Canal Street Chronicles

Some surprises there, especially on defense. Anthony and Edebali only played 13 and 14 snaps.

Looking across the DL we mixed it up A LOT. Jordan played 95% of snaps, Fairly played 2/3 of snaps, and Kruger played half.

Anthony was due to the Raiders forcing us into Nickel most of the game.

Edebali needs to play more this coming week. No question.

But why would Anthony not be in our Nickel packages? Surely he brings more to the table than Mauti?

He's not good in coverage.

I think it's JL + Roberston on nickel downs usually.

I don't know why Mauti got 21 snaps though. Stupar also barely played.

I knew Anthony's snap count was ridiculously low. Would like to see him get more opportunities I think he's a good player and would have helped the run D at least.

I guess they are discovering Kruger isn't an upgrade over Edebali? The D got no pressure and Edebali is one of our best pass rushers, they should get him more involved.

I think they are still figuring out the pass rush situation. They brought in Kruger who they have been after for quite a while and they played him thinking he would be a sure upgrade. On this day he wasn't. It remains to be seen whether or not he is a true upgrade over Edebali but I think they will decide soon.
