Is it seeding? Flip of the coin? Rock/paper/scissors? I’m thinking it’d be funny to see Tampa in their away jerseys and move to the visitors locker room for the Super Bowl. Course I also have too much time on my hands if this is the stuff I’m thinking about.

In baseball, the conference that wins the all star game, determines the team who has home field advantage. Not sure if that would work in football.

It alternates. Last year the AFC was the home team so NFC this year.

The Buccaneers will be in their home uniforms, locker room, and practice facility.

I think they take the average distance that each player's hometown is from the SB site and which ever team has the closer average distance gets to be the home team.
