They are not homonyms, no, but they do mean the same thing.

And, yes, the proper pronunciation is Vah-kahrr-oh. I keep hearing commentators pronounce it Vuh-carrow (like the Spanish word). I don't know if they're just dumb or if his family has Anglicised it.

Well why not he hasn't played a down and people are already saying he's going to be a bust either indirectly or straight up just claiming he will be.
