We lived in the Pittsburgh area for a year and couldn't get over the support they have for their team. It was a sea of black and almost gold when game day came around. I bet they were almost as supportive as we are of the Saints. :D The wife and I would bebop around town with our Saints gear on on game day and never got a bad word for it. Good people during game day if you are a fan of the game. Can't say that for a lot of the people the rest of the time though. Southern living spoils you if you know what I mean.

It's good to see them coming down here bearing gifts for those that need them most.

Props to the Steelers. A first class organization.

Week 2, last year, hosting Tampa Bay.
We were vacationing in California, and went to a sports bar on the beach
in Huntington Beach to watch our game.....kickoff at 9:00 a.m.
The full Sunday slate was on, people in jerseys of every team....typical
sports bar.
And what team, by far, had the most fans? The Steelers.
It wasn't even close. And this wasn't a "Steelers" designated fan club.
I was so impressed at their support, thousands of miles away on the other side of the country....

Between this act of incredibly generosity and class, and the ticket donations, I have a tender spot in my heart this evening. And I'm glad for that.

Thank God for good people. this board kicks ***, and so does our organization.

Gonna be a great season with this type of attitude.

Steelers have the largest following in the country.
Their fans travel like a college fan base.
I've seen them fill half of the stadium as visitors.
They travel in mass amounts and take over your city.
Much like Ohio State fans do.

Pittsburgh is a Great City and very much like N'awlins in that they are blue collar and loyal to their unique city. I love the Primanti Bros sandwiches, on Carson and they have the best late night live Blues joint attached. They have umpapa bands so they appreciate brass. And as others are saying their fanbase is enormous. I have evacuated to Charleston, Shreveport, and other place where Buffalo Wild Wings was my Saints watch party site and Always the best fans to share ribbing or have a beer with or a wing were Steelers fans. It doesn't surprise me that they came bearing gifts. Much appreciated !

Steeler fans wear jerseys at a much higher rate than any other team I've ever seen. I think, in western Pennsylvania, a Steelers jersey and an overly graphic ball cap are an acceptable "black tie" for weddings and the like.

My respect to Steeler Nation.

Always loved the team, and they way their fans support their team. Loved watching Bradshaw, Mean Joe Green, Lambert, Lynn Swan, etc. Their colors are even right.

When Kikaha signed, I thought to myself, is that Troy Polamalu?
