Carney never hits anything past 45 yards in pregame. I remember watching him during the Falcons pre-game and he couldn't even get the ball to the crossbar from 45. He kicked one and it was too high but then lined up again and drove the ball and it fell short again. This is the game he came in just before the half and kicked a 51 yarder just before the half. I wouldn't worry until unless he starts leaving the ball short on FG's under 50 DURING THE GAME.

Cut Carney....

You don't cut a player whos meant so much to a franchise. You let him retire after this year. There is no other kicker out there thats any better to pickup mid season.

I agree that we don't cut him. But after this year, we need to go another direction. He's had a great career and is a good guy. But it's the end of the road after this year.

But right now, you don't cut him. Midseason kicker cuts rarely go well.
