Has anybody ever asked why is it that Alabama, Ohio State, and Clemson were able to keep all of their top players despite the pandemic? But somehow the LSU players were encouraged to opt out.

Those players knew their team would compete for a NC this year. The lsu players knew they wouldn’t be.

Still doesn't make sense.

With the amount of talent LSU lost in the draft, plus losing Joe Brady and Aranda I'm sure most of the players knew this was going to be a very down year. We only had 4 players that opted out and Ferrell came back in week 3 or 4. Losing Chase and Shelvin really hurt. Vincent was a pretty good slot CB and with the horrible play of Flott and #5 he too is very missed. But the most devastating losses was 4 of the 5 starters on the O-line with pretty much no Offseason to practice and gel. The O-line has been playing better but still has plenty of mental lapses and mistakes.
