There was an article in the San Francisco Chronicle today saying that Reggie Bush and Alex Smith were teamates at Helix High in San Diego. They won a state championship together. There was a picture of them together getting their jerseys retired last season.
I wonder if there have ever been two players from the same high school drafted that high in consecutive drafts?

Not that I can recall, but back when Bush was the sure-thing-George-Zimmer-guarantees-it first overall pick, I must've read how he and Alex Smith attended Helx High no fewer than 3000 times. "First high school teammates to be drafted first overall" was like a hymn or something.

You mean Alex Smith was on Reggie's Team when Reggie won state?
