I have a question for my father in law. He is hanging a 32" Vizio outside under the covered patio of his pool house. He currently has some Bose speakers mounted in the ceiling of the patio that he uses for his basic stereo. From what he is telling me, the speakers have the spring loaded terminals to connect the speaker wire to the stereo. Is there a way to hook those speakers up to the tv without going through a receiver since the TV has the RCA jacks while the speakers have the spring loaded terminals?

the tv has rca outputs for the speakers or the external amp? usually tv's have speaker terminals if they have anything for external audio outputs.

I've seen TVs with RCA outs for speakers. Usually the mfg has cheap speakers available as an accessory.
