Who is available this late in the season? Surely not someone of the caliber to be the head guy next season? Unless they're leaving another team, eh.

Payton letting personal relationships interfere with business. If you have to have three coaches to do the job of one that's a problem.Just fire the current coach and we will be good.
McMahon's duties will be reduced to being in charge of the kicking tees and nets.

Leave Bobby April on the couch.
His special teams were getting gashed in Tennessee before his subsequent firing.

Interesting. Hasn't TB always had ST issues (at least from a return standpoint)?

“(In punt formation) When the two players in the back have their outside foot back and their inside foot up and the small guy facing forward with the line in a bull rush position, they are looking to hit something,” said O’Dea. - See more at: 2016 NFL Officiating Clinic: Kevin O'Dea Proof There's More To Just Kicking In Special Teams | LockerReport.com
According to O’Dea, in directional kicks, when the kicker is three yards or less from the left harsh mark with the ball six yards out, they are kicking left because they can turn their hips out into the ball. - See more at: 2016 NFL Officiating Clinic: Kevin O'Dea Proof There's More To Just Kicking In Special Teams | LockerReport.com

Everybody knows this. That wasn't my point. My point was that this organization continues to throw away good money, mostly on players, but in the case of McMahon, on a coach. My point was they shouldn't carry McMahon any longer than they need to. Fire him now and replace him, but don't just add another coach to the payroll. Even if they have to pay out McMahon's contract for the rest of the year, it's better to get rid of him now. Keeping Ryan around all last season just got in the way of what Allen needed to do to fix the defense.Coaches don't count against the cap....
