Special Teams Coach Help (1 Viewer)

Who is available this late in the season? Surely not someone of the caliber to be the head guy next season? Unless they're leaving another team, eh.

Not saying this is who we'll get, but Bobby April is available...last I checked.

Sean doesn't wanna fire the old man before the holidays

McMahon's duties will be reduced to being in charge of the kicking tees and nets.

he better be carefull with that net, ask obj, those things fight back.

Interesting. Hasn't TB always had ST issues (at least from a return standpoint)?

Hopefully it's Bobby April. He got the most out of his units when he was with us previously. Always liked him

Here's a an article I found on him. Seems like he's a possible cure for what ails us which is guys having poor IQ on STs.

“(In punt formation) When the two players in the back have their outside foot back and their inside foot up and the small guy facing forward with the line in a bull rush position, they are looking to hit something,” said O’Dea. - See more at: 2016 NFL Officiating Clinic: Kevin O'Dea Proof There's More To Just Kicking In Special Teams | LockerReport.com

According to O’Dea, in directional kicks, when the kicker is three yards or less from the left harsh mark with the ball six yards out, they are kicking left because they can turn their hips out into the ball. - See more at: 2016 NFL Officiating Clinic: Kevin O'Dea Proof There's More To Just Kicking In Special Teams | LockerReport.com

On field goal attempts, when the defensive line have six men on one side, watch out for the “jumper” up the middle, especially if their aggressive style of play commands it. - See more at: 2016 NFL Officiating Clinic: Kevin O'Dea Proof There's More To Just Kicking In Special Teams | LockerReport.com

Coaches don't count against the cap....
Everybody knows this. That wasn't my point. My point was that this organization continues to throw away good money, mostly on players, but in the case of McMahon, on a coach. My point was they shouldn't carry McMahon any longer than they need to. Fire him now and replace him, but don't just add another coach to the payroll. Even if they have to pay out McMahon's contract for the rest of the year, it's better to get rid of him now. Keeping Ryan around all last season just got in the way of what Allen needed to do to fix the defense.
