I agree with you about Winston being a solid teammate who is very encouraging but based upon past results there is, in fact, little chance of success. He has simply never shown himself to be anything but a journeyman.

Playing for two teams != journeyman. Teddy Two Gloves is a journeyman. Chase Daniel is a journeyman. Andy Dalton is a journeyman.

Seriously. Is it really that bad if Winston leaves as opposed to getting a big contract? If we turn him loose who will want him or Dalton for that matter?

He’s played for 2 teams over 8 years and had a 5000yard season, so up this point hardly a journeyman….

The Saints as an organization are not that high on Winston. This QB room was changing this up coming off-season regardless if Winston starts or not.

Agree. I said DA, but could have just said the org as a whole. Either way, he's done as a Saint. Its time (after this season). I would only play him in an emergency situation.

I’m hoping (against hope) that DA is the one who is done as a Saint and Winston gets another chance but that doesn’t look likely….

Chase Daniels is probably one of THE BEST paid backup QBs.
