I agree. However, I just realized that link from the Saints official site doesn't have the new depth chart. I guess they released it to the media but didn't post it on their own site. Regardless, the one being posted by the media could be read two different ways, either one column at a time, or left-to-right and continuing on the second and third lines. I think it's the latter, which would still put Spiller ahead of the other 3 guys.

Wouldn't it depend on what we got for him, if we indeed traded him, before we call it stupid?

Now we know it's nothing, but for the sake of responding, IMO...no, not really.

To trade him would mean eating 7 million in previously pro-rated money this year while also losing the one guy on the team who is vital on the edges to help Brees out under pressure.

I can't think of anyone we could trade for (realistically) that would be more valuable AND be worth eating 7 million in dead money for. That includes an all-pro guard or something.
