This is the guy the Saints organization was targeting in free agency back in 2008. But he chose to stay in St. Louis as opposed to signing with New Orleans. It ultimately led to the Saints signing Jabari Greer.

St. Louis Rams cornerback Ron Bartell and safety O.J. Atogwe did not practice Wednesday while nursing shoulder injuries. Two other members of the secondary, cornerback Justin King and safety Craig Dahl, were limited with shoulder and knee woes.

Bartell suffered a stinger in the first half Sunday at Arizona and was uncertain Wednesday whether he'd be able to play this weekend at New Orleans. Bartell, the Rams' top coverage cornerback, said his injury would probably be a factor the rest of the season but said he felt better.

I wanted this guy to be on our team so badly. Then we signed some guy named Greer. :9: If both bartell and Atogwe are out, we can turn the rams one dimensional fairly quickly.

For the first time all season I have that 2009 feeling all over again. I am supremely optimistic the Saints Offense will flat out amaze us this week!

Not only will this bolster the teams confidence, but it will scare the pants off of the Ravens as they return home on a short week. Ought to keep those flapping moron failcon fans quiet for the next two weeks as they secretly shake in there pink panties!

It aint just Bartell....

Among defensive backs, CB Ron Bartell (shoulder) and S Oshiomogho Atogwe (shoulder) did not participate. S Craig Dahl (knee), CB Jerome Murphy (hamstring) and CB Justin King (shoulder) were limited participants. That’s the majority of the injury report. So the Rams will have to hope that health comes as the week goes on.

good gracious....thats entire back field. in nickel. :hihi:

I expect most of those guys to play for them this weekend. Not to be negative, but it seems when other teams get guys hurt, they almost always return the following week. Our guys, on the other hand, seem to miss at least three weeks.

yeah bartell and sensabaugh were on my it list after that free agency...if i only knew what was to come with sahrper/greer..lol

yeah its wed...so mostly rest. Could you imagine this place with 3 cb and 2 s on the list tho?!??!?!? i'd ban myself til 2 came back.

While I expect us to have a good day in the passing game, I'm not going to say that these injuries will be the deciding factor.

Remember how turnover prone the Bengals have been all year? How many did we get? This is the NFL, what should happen is not even close to being law.

I think we win, mostly because Bradford has a really bad game.

Brees and Payton need to prepare as if all these guys are going to play.

I think it's because Payton is extra careful when it comes to injured players. It seems like if a player doesn't practice fully by Friday, he won't play

The Dome should give Bartell a big ovation, in thanks for the part he played in bringing us the Lombardi.
