FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Donte Stallworth was in a playful mood Tuesday afternoon.

He was holding court before his locker at Gillette Stadium, trying to persuade any members of the media to join him in a little skulduggery.

The New England Patriots are going to play the San Diego Chargers for the AFC championship at 3 p.m. Sunday here. Stallworth has several high-profile friends on the Chargers, including running back LaDainian Tomlinson, tight end Antonio Gates and linebacker Shawne Merriman. His plan was to fly out to the West Coast, kidnap a couple of them (with help, of course) and stash them someplace until after the game.
