It took me 5 or 6 attempts to watch that movie all the way through without falling asleep.

So funny, i thought it was just my age at the time- i saw it in a movie theater when i was 5 yrs old, and to this day it’s the only movie ive ever fallen asleep during, and slept pretty much the whole way thru it.. i remember being really disappoint b/c i was a huge Star Wars fan like everyone else my age, and i guess i expected Star Trek to be more like SW.. to this day, ive never watched a single episode of any of the Star Trek iterations, it just occurred to me that it may be related to that early movie-going experience .

Going from TMP to Wrath of Khan may be the biggest jump in quality for the better between sequels ever.
