Basically he made the greatest worst movie ever made called The Room of which he wrote/directed/produced/and starred in. It is simply amazing!! Here are some clips and some videos about it. But seriously rent or buy the movie and watch the whole thing and then go watch the 2017 movie with James Franco called The Disaster Artist which is about the making of The Room.

I seem to recall seeing Franco on Conan a few years ago promoting that movie. I think I know why I didn't watch it after watching the first 2 minutes of that first video of the "Funniest Scenes".
