My phlebotomist? Dr. Acula
I liked it but it definitely wasn't as good as the first one. She's fine directing them but I don't want her writing the 3rd one and it looks like she'll be dashing my hopes on that.WW84 was 80s level cheesy. Just watched it a few days ago with the wife. There were some good bits. But a lot of it was just painfully terrible.
And...I wanted to love it because the mall and area where a lot of it was filmed are places I've visited numerous times over the years. That was about the only redeeming quality of the movie...that and Gal Gadot is .
Wait a minute, is Rip Hoff not reliable? Man, that hobo underneath the bridge lied to me!When you want reliable insider sources, make sure you get it from someone named doomcock.
I mean, really?
Might as well get medical advice from Dr. Quack.
Go to your Mechanic, Rip Hoff.

I'm good with chucking the "Do whatever you want" approach. It's fine for a standalone movie. But for sequels and series, it doesn't work.Supposedly the creative differences that have led to the delay are all about the script.
Also, the article that came out today talking about all this from a former Hollywood Reporter guy also alluded to the fact that the "Do whatever you want" days at Lucasfilm are over (basically how things were with the sequel trilogy) and there's a much stronger production side voice on how things are going creatively now, which Jenkins may be unhappy with.
I can't believe they took that approach with a trilogy.I'm good with chucking the "Do whatever you want" approach. It's fine for a standalone movie. But for sequels and series, it doesn't work.
Oddly enough, "do whatever you want" led to reshoots of stand-alone Rogue One because the suits didn't think it "felt like a Star Wars film," and got Phil Lord and Chris Miller fired from Solo.I'm good with chucking the "Do whatever you want" approach. Yeah, I wouldn't exactly call Rogue One or Solo standalone movies. They still exist as part of a larger franchise. And even "do whatever you want" doesn't really mean do whatever you want. The stories about Lord and Miller are wild. They were apparently just making a straight comedy that had a young Han Solo in it and got like 3/4s of the way through it before Lucasfilm shut it down. I doubt any of those dailies or pre Ron Howard footage exists anymore but boy would I love to see them. It was allegedly a disaster. I remember one source comparing the footage to Ace Ventura.
Both of those movies are better than the sequel trilogy and Rogue One is probably my favorite Star Wars movie. I knew going in that I would love it. I remember people complaining before it came out that we already know the story so why do we need to see it. Well, without it we don't get Darth Vader being a badarse. It's also why I was completely down with the Joker movie and why I gave Pennyworth(2nd best DC show) a shot.Yeah, I wouldn't exactly call Rogue One or Solo standalone movies. But yeah, interesting stuff. I wasn't aware of all that mess.
Great points. Pretty much agree with all that. I might put TFA ahead of Solo, but Rogue would be ahead of TFA as movies I liked. Both of those movies are better than the sequel trilogy and Rogue One is probably my favorite Star Wars movie.
