These players are the only chance that we have are becoming a good team again. At this point, I think we need to dump the coaching staff dump our best players?

On the defensive side, I’d say the only players I would not trade away and try to build around are Breese, Granderson, Werner, Gay, & Taylor. Everyone else is available

What everyone is saying is get what we can for them because no matter what we are still a minimum of 3 to 4 seasons from being very competitive. Not just winning some games but a playoff caliber team.

With the salary cap situation we will likely have to build through drafting and it will take a few years. There is no point keeping some of these players if we can get draft picks which is where we will have to be since free agency will keep us in salary cap hell.

I agree with their viewpoints. Sometimes we have to be realistic about these situations. We are not going to be competitive for a while.

I was specifically talking about Defensive players to keep/build around.

On offense I would keep/build around Shaheed, Fuaga, McCoy, AK, & Taysom. Holker, Means, & Tipton are all young rookies that could be good positional pieces.

Yes, it is a good point. I’ve watched this team since 1970. I had hoped that we would not sink this low again.

But at least we have a Super Bowl victory and it’s not the same old saints that used to be

While I've been on the keep Lattimore train previously, I don't see any reason to not trade him now if a proper offer presents itself. We need to get younger and load up on picks for the next staff. Love Latt and hate to see him go, but I don't see any player on our roster that is untradeable aside from maybe Fuaga, Taylor and Kamara.

Folks on the “don’t trade aging and oft injured but talented players” train need to observe situational context here…. This team is very likely about to undergo a big exodus of players and coaches in one form or another after this season. And likely will not be very competitive for at least a couple of seasons…. And that’s if things go well.

It’s time to start building a new young core with a fresh Culture.

This means getting what you can for these guys now… Instead of doing what has gotten us here in the first place…

It’s time to sit down at the table and eat this entire turd sandwich
