It's one of those things I think I want to know more about, but I'm fairly certain will end up being a waste of money.

Kinda like that time anita bought Blur.

It's an interesting game. You'll definitely get your money's worth out of it, unlike most of these other fail mmos that are released. I believe this is the first mmo since WoW that I actually achieved level cap in if that says anything. Also the lack of a subscription fee helps. But be ready to throw them 10 bucks for gems anyway, you'll want to expand your bank space and the only way to do that is with $$$. But still, that's a one time payment of less than one month of WoW.

While there isn't much of an endgame outside of pvp, you'll have a lot of fun leveling and exploring the zones. They are packed with stuff to do and look nice. This game has serious business jumping puzzles too. The holiday jumping puzzle was INSANE. Snowflakes that melt under your feet in about two seconds, snowmen blowing you off ledges.

Another positive is that the voice acting and dialogue is the best I've seen in an mmo. The quests can be genuinely poignant. An example is finding this giant cyclops who wants me to collect mushrooms for him, so he can shrink himself to fit inside a cavern close by so he can go visit his friends. Once he eats the mushrooms and shrinks, you escort him into the cavern, and it turns out all of his friends are dead, he visits their tombstones to tell them that he is sorry he couldn't save them. Right in the feels

So, yeah. Worth your money imo. Quite a step above the usual crap that passes for a shipped game in the mmo genre.

This is the Winter Wonderland jumping puzzle. Doing this was the first time in years I actually cursed loudly at a video game, good job GW2
