With Deuce Rushing for a 136 yds along with Reggie's 3 rushing TDs, we made a statement. Every team from here on out will have to respect the run along with the pass. It makes our team much more dynamic. Not to mention RB25 an even bigger decoy. Bring Dallas on!!!

Geaux Saints!!!

Here's what made it even more of a statement game: With our two most dependable (by a Secretariat-in-the-Belmont margin) WRs out with injury, and Devery Henderson having his worst game as a pro, and the 49ers turning into at least a middlin' team, after 11 games both Payton and the team downshifted into power-run mode, kept the ball in the hands of our only two remaining dependable weapons, and we dominated the football game.

In addition, the defense just stoned their running attack, and this passing attack isn't beating anybody until they get better players. We turned their one-dimensional attack into a turnover festival, and Mike McKenzie pretty much guaranteed that people won't be testing the left side of the secondary any time soon.

We also got sharp and smart play from our special teams; Danny Clark doesn't let his lack of regular PT on defense get in his way of having a good time, and Gleason continues his fine play. Beerman looked as fast as ever on that kickoff return that helped jump-start us after the FG.

Finally, once Joe went down, the team from that point on just stopped making mistakes. No penalties, no turnovers, very few missed assignments, wide-open cutback lanes or 49ers receivers running free. By the end of the game, there was no doubt about who the big kids were on the playground.

This is a good football team. Bring on the Cowboys.
