The most pleasant surprise of the 2006 NFL season will meet the year's biggest disappointment to date this Sunday in Pittsburgh, where the New Orleans Saints will take on the defending world champion Steelers at Heinz Field.

Fueled by a high-powered passing attack and a fierce determination to put a turbulent 2005 campaign in their rear-view mirror, the Saints stand atop the rugged NFC South Division at the season's midway point. At 6-2, New Orleans has already doubled its three-win total of a year ago and has stamped new head coach Sean Payton as the favorite to bring home NFL Coach of the Year honors.

The Saints have even had success on the road, where the club has won three of four games so far. New Orleans is coming off last Sunday's 31-14 thumping of division-rival Tampa Bay in Florida. Quarterback Drew Brees, the offseason free-agent signee who has had a huge impact in the Saints' success, sparked the win with a 314-yard, three-touchdown effort through the air.
