Strong words from the head coach, offensive captain, and defensive players all supporting these 2 guys. It really makes me wonder if we are in the CB market, especially when you consider we'll be getting Swann and PJ Williams back next year.

CBs would be Breaux and Williams starting, and PJ looked really good before he got injured - big upside. Swann has proven his ability as a Nickle, but he just has to stay healthy. Moore, Webb, and Crawley would round out the position.

The real bright side about this situation is that, instead of spending $10 million on a CB, we can put that towards a pass rusher or an OG in FA (or likely both). Here's to two young vets who are on the rise! :worthy:

I was thoroughly pleased with Moore and Webb. Considering we got them off of the streets, I didn't expect to much from them. I want them back

Moore and Webb were much better than I thought they would be. We definitely need to keep them in the fold. Those guys played their hearts out for the team. Plus we get Breaux, Williams, Swann, Crawley and Wilson back all hopefully healthy next season. We will have a very good secondary next season. Maybe draft another CB somewhere between rounds 4-6.

We are losded with young talent in the secondary, just have to stay healthy and I think we will have at least one pro bowler in breaux, others still have stuff to prove, but sure would be nice to be able to save money on not having to get a CB, and shore up the Oline and Pass rusher! Maybe even use some of that money to get a scar back, if we don't draft Mccaffery in the second! Then we would be set and would only need depth at the LB and safety positions.

Breaux is average at best, none of the others are proven. If we can get a stud CB grab him.

I disagree. Breaux is good and has talent to be very good. PJ Williams was playing very well before getting hurt. Swann had a great year in the slot in his first year. Webb and Moore proved they are great depth. Crawley proved he has talent and is getting better quickly and can become very good depth.

I agree Sterling Moore was a great pick up. Pretty much a saver in the secondary. BW Webb....really average. He was ok early on but in recent games, I have seen him get beat constantly. But at least I can say about Webb is at least he isn't Brian Dixon. Glad he is gone.

If either one of those guys is starting next year, we're screwed.

CB is second only to DE in terms of our needs.

I agree that OG is our a huge need. I think that we need both a RG and RT...and the likelihood of drafting both that will be starters in two years is low. Get Zeitler if the price is right...then draft a RT to groom while Strief is still serviceable.

But I disagree about CB. The team has now tried to trade for a marquee CB twice. The Saints will likely do their best to trade or sign a marquee guy this offseason. Unfortunately, Williams and Swann can't be relied upon. Their head injury histories place them at high risk of recurrence. And as good as Webb and Moore have been...I get the feeling that the Saints like them more as depth than starters.

Looking at where this draft is strong...its at DL, RB, and TE. Much like the 2014 draft that was silly good at WR...you just have to take advantage of what the draft gives you.
