Congrats to Steve and Michel, but yeah, this seems long overdue. He has been a major advocate and driver behind ALS awareness, and bringing good to the lives of all those effected by such a horrible disease.
It’s great that he is receiving the award, but why didn’t this happen sooner?

I think a sincere answer to this question requires review of previous winners, but I have my hesitations about that going well.

After reviewing the previous winners over the past 10 years, I’m still not sure why he had to wait so long given the criteria for the award.
I’m glad he is receiving the award.
