Just dropped a couple of shekels in my Scottrade account that has been languishing in the red for many years thanks to a slow/steady drop of Sirius after the hype of the Stern signing waned.

With so much volatility, does anyone have an opinion on potential good buys?

Even short term investments tips are welcome. In fact, preferred.

I'm going to review some good info regarding gold/mining investing that bclemms provided a couple months back as well.

Gold and oil lol.

Maybe GDX or Newmont Mining.
Like efil4 said Freeport Macmoran.

Possibly STP, although they had a good run and than went right back to the 30's.

Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, Jp Morgan, Wells Fargo.

Citigroup has lost over half it's value and I think it is too large to go down like BS did.

As with anything, do your research.

Any oil stock.

Buy low.

Sell high.

I think the over/under I had pegged for wise-*** responses will be reached before the 5:00 whistle. :hihi:

I love the EE.

Seriously, that soy idea is intriguing.
