If anyone can figure it out it should be a carpenter. Seems right up your alley. I'm sure the answer is ridiculously simple, I just don't see it...

If anyone can figure it out it should be a carpenter. Seems right up your alley.
It does have something to do with the permiter of the shapes and how much they touch... The top one has less shapes touching each other and the bottom has more ...I know that doesnt answer your questin but it is all I can come up with...

No I am serious.. look close... the bottom triangles are slightly larger
I just checked and I don't know if thats true,

take a scrap piece of paper and measure the upper triangle holes and then compare it to the bottom, to me it equals out

Things that are impossible ... arent possible..... and that little riddle up there is impossible....
