Stripchat.com first published bidder for Super Dome naming rights... (1 Viewer)

Century Link is actually based in Monroe

Not for much longer is the rumor. They merged with Qwest, based in Denver, a couple of years ago and the longtime locally raised chairman, who was hand picked by the original founder, decided to retire. The new bigwigs took over and want to move the corporate headquarters from Louisiana's swamps to the Colorado's Rockies when their tax break agreement with the state ends in 2024.
Delta Airlines did basically the same thing. It was born in Monroe as a crop dusting service in the early 20th century and after they became huge, continued to have their annual stockholders meeting in Monroe for decades. However, they recently voted to move it to Atlanta.
Seems Monroe must be too podunk for some corporate types.

Well yeah it's a publicity stunt. Honestly, I don't think, even if they were the highest bidder Mrs. Benson or the NFL would allow or accept it.

My original idea of Slap Ya Momma is a good one, but then it hit me.

RWS should be the sponsor...Who is RWS you make ask? I think many of us have purchased their product in our lifetime....
