Saintsgiving brings together two bird-centric happenings: the New Orleans Saints meet their archenemies, the Atlanta Falcons, in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, and we meet up with a bird of a different feather on our Thanksgiving tables.

The game doesn’t start until 7:20 p.m., so even if you’re going to the Superdome you have plenty of time to stuff, smoke, fry or chop your bird before watching the black and gold do the same to that other bird.

Members of the Where NOLA Eats Facebook group recently chatted about how they were going to celebrate Saintsgiving. ‪Zane Katsikis asked: “ If you are having a bird for Thanksgiving dinner, how about a dirty bird?”
