Seems to be a difference between "ratings" and "number of viewers".. this is from last year:

I think the Media pulls numbers out of thier *** sometimes.

Media hyped this SB up because of the Harbaugh bros and everything, it wasnt even a competitive game until Lights went out.

Obviously the TV stats for that game were stricken from the record books due to the fact that it happened during the "bounty scandal."
