Former West Virginia wide receiver Marcus Simms, one of the better talents in the supplemental draft on July 10, worked out in front of half the league’s teams today in Maryland. Here’s what we’ve got so far.

The teams on hand included the Jacksonville Jaguars, New Orleans Saints, Seattle Seahawks, Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, Washington Redskins, Kansas City Chiefs, Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Eagles, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons.

The San Francisco 49ers and Minnesota Vikings both sent directors of scouting, while the Baltimore Ravens had their personnel director on hand. The Oakland Raiders had general manager Mike Mayock on hand.

So what happens once these guys go undrafted? Do they become free agents on the open market for anyone to sign or do teams get first refusal as in the waiver wire scenario?

Just like the regular draft. They become UFAs and can sign with any team.

The guy that I've been hearing good things about is Jalen Thompson, the S from Washington St.

Devonaire Clarington looks like a monster. Not sure about him not being able to qualify academically for Texas, or how that would translate to him being able to pickup Payton's offense, but the kid has the physical traits to be great.
