*Pick a winner (no point spread involved) of any NFL game during week 1. your username/password. If problems arise on the main website, you can place your pick w/n this very thread.
*If the team you selected wins their week 1 game, you continue to week 2. If your team of choice lost their week 1 battle, you have been pigskinned from SURVIVOR BOWL already and should be ashamed of yourself!
*A team may only be selected once during the season to win their game(exp. if you pick the Saints in week 1, you may not select the Saints again for the remainder of the SURVIVOR BOWL )
*You continue in the SURVIVOR BOWL until a loss (or tie) is suffered, then you're out of the pool. YES, TIES ARE LOSSES!
*A winning pick must be in before the very last game starts for that week or you will be pigskinned.
*Picks selected in the thread will supersede what is entered in the system. The official record for your pick will be in the thread if they system has an error, or some other mishap. Just notify jread2 or d3cyph3r by a PM to update it.
*Any pick not submitted by any of the deadlines set within the rules posted each week will be considered a loss and the contestant will be eliminated from SURVIVOR BOWL
*The game will continue until one contestant remains.
*If all remaining contestants are eliminated in the same week, the contest will consist of a tiebreaker. The highest point total from all picks combined will win!
*If the regular season ends with no outright winner, the winner of the main pool will be chosen by the total number of points scored by each team you chose to win in their chosen game.

You have to make it before the start of the Sunday games.
If that’s the case, then I’m genuinely confused. The rules OP posted and the website itself state differently:
Rules
*Winning picks must be in before last game starts for that week or you will be pigskinned.

Website
All picks must be in by September 14, 2020 10:10:00 PM CST!
There’s even a countdown timer on the site stating how much time is left to pick.

You can pick up until the minute the last game starts on Monday night.

I see a few picks in here, I'll make sure they match up.

We are a volunteer workforce, so mistakes do happen. If you need to make a pick and the website won't let you a pick in here is just as good because your posts are timestamped. I can't guarantee we always see he picks, so it might be best to send jread2 and myself a PM to ensure we take care of your manual pick.

Picking against the browns is a pretty good strategy but I'm also wondering if I pick against the jets all season how far I'd make it? Maybe I'll do a hybrid between the 2 depending on who I've already used. Bet I could make it most of the season.

I just picked against Miami last year. And it worked...until they had a bye.

Wow! That was quick! And to think that I changed my pick from the Ravens to the Colts during the week wanting to save the Ravens for later and thinking the Colts were pretty much a sure thing. LOL!
Nothing is a sure thing in 2020.
I have no clue what to expect this year from any team.

Yay! I made it through week one...how are the points tallied?
The tiebreaker rule in this contest doesn't come into play unless there is more than one survivor after there are no more games in the season. In that case the winner is determined by the total margin of victory in all the winning teams he picked. When the game is reset each week you can see the survivor(s) with the most points listed in the Leaderboard column. For Week 1 those who picked the Baltimore Ravens are leading with 32 points by virtue of their mauling of the Browns, 38-6. However, those accrued points mean nothing if there is only one survivor left no matter how many points that single surviving contestant gained throughout the length of the contest.

Since we have to accept that the Covid-19 issues could potentially shut down the season abruptly, it could be important to accumulate as many points as possible since a lot of contestants could be survivors if the season ended early. But hopefully the NFL season will continue long enough to have just one lone survivor standing rather than have to resort to the tiebreaker rule.
