Swann to IR (1 Viewer)

A pity. But does this leave us with 74 on the roster now? Gives us room to make another signing or another trade of a pick for a player?
May the Schwartz be with you.

I have a lot of confidence in Williams. Once he starts to turn his head around I think he'll be even better than Keenan was for us (hot take). Where it gets tricky is the nickel CB. We can always use Vaccaro as a slot CB when we go to dime and have Bell go to Safety but who's gonna be the nickel? I have a feeling it'll be Harris.

Agree, looks like it will be Harris who is definitely a player, a true CB with good instincts and swag (everyone gets burn by Brown) and the boy can jump, I like it. Hope that will make up for his size and so-so speed.

A concussion-shortened rookie season, and now missing another full season...odds are trending that this guy isn't going to pan out for us.

Sad to say it, because he definitely has the tools.

Did they give a reason why he went to IR? For now, it just says undisclosed injury so what makes everyone think it's concussion related?

After week 6 Or for the season?

We don't know. The rule changed this year. You don't have to mark them as "designated to return." All IR players are eligible to return -- after week 6 you can pick one (or none). So it's possible Swann could return, unless the team announces otherwise.

Sitting out this year might actually prolong his career. I mean, I'm no neurologist, but I bet time can mitigate the long-term damage caused by his concussions.

Thanks for that

Pretty sure its not concussion related being he went see a muscle specialist. Could be a phantom injury due to his inability to practice during the off season..

Crawley is fearless on run support.

Last game they took an extended look at Harris so he was playing as 4th CB, then second unit with Swann. I think nothing happened.

If he was playing 4th CB, I'm worried that he somehow was matched up against Antonio Brown on that touchdown. It reminded me of when Rick Venturi thought it was smart to put Sedrick Hodge on Randy Moss in the playoffs.

I thought he went to see the sports hernia guy in Philly, now this . . .

Either folks are reaching by jumping to conclusions or . . .
