Saints CB Damian Swann is being examined by Dr. William Meyers in Philadelphia, per source. The specific injury is unclear, and it's unknown if Swann will require surgery. Meyers typically means sports hernia/groin/hip or other core muscle issues.

This guy can't catch a break. Unfortunately, I feel like he will be cut.

Isn't that who Lewis was seeing?
Was hoping Swann would be a part of the CB group this year, here's to hoping he can get right before the season gets going.

That would leave Breaux, Williams, Crawley, Harris, Finnegan and the Dixons.
I'd like Swann to be that 6th corner but it leaves room for maybe another position group to carry more players until he comes back healthy.

Could end him up on IR.
This.

I think the Saints and the fans love this guy's potential.
Unfortunately, injuries are a part of football.
Hopefully this guy doesn't prove out to be injury riddled, even though it would be hard to ignore the warning signs.

I was just thinking about how Swann was looking like Keenan Lewis in last year preseason and wondering if he was still not healthy. At least we know that he was not held off practice because he was having head issues again. At least it seems like it's another problem.

He certainly didnt look full speed in the preseason game. I hope he gets better.

Ugh. This is an absolutely perfect example of why we will be mediocre this year. We simply have not had enough success with our draft picks. Whether through failed evaluation of talent or poor luck with health, we have missed on too many picks.

Bummer. I hope he recovers and can contribute.

Not to mention, we invested 2 draft picks trading up to get Swann.
