Latino group hopes to troll Trump with taco trucks on Election Day - CNNPolitics.com

Marco Gutierrez, the "Latinos for Trump" founder who warned unchecked immigration would lead to "taco trucks on every corner," might have his nightmare come true on Election Day. Sort of.

The US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is organizing an effort hoping to put taco trucks on every corner -- or, rather, every polling site -- on Election Day.
Gutierrez, a top Latino surrogate for Donald Trump's campaign, recently warned, in vivid terms, of negative consequences if America did not adopt tighter immigration policies.

"My culture is a very dominant culture. And it's imposing, and it's causing problems. If you don't do something about it, you're going to have taco trucks on every corner," Gutierrez told MSNBC's Joy-Ann Reid.
Last week, treating Gutierrez's warning as a challenge of sorts, the USHCC created the initiative "Guac the Vote." Its aim -- mobilizing taco truck owners to encourage its customers to register to vote, and park their trucks outside polling sites on Nov. 8.

"The idea of taking the taco trucks is not even a Mexican or Hispanic symbol -- it's an American symbol," said Chamber spokesman Pablo Manriquez. "The hope is that we're going to be able to deliver quite a few trucks to quite a few polling centers."
Trump's campaign did not immediately respond for comment to this story.

I can get behind this...who doesn't love tacos? And at the expense of trolling the orange man?

I can almost smell the spicy, savory goodness already :worthy:

Pics should be of the tacos you get from trucks :)
No doubt! None of that taco bell crap

The best tacos from a taco truck i've had were over on the beachfront in Waianae. I had to look them up to remember what the truck was called. So good I went back for seconds (6 tacos in all) and I think I regret not getting 3rd's...

Hot, spicy mahi tacos with an ice cold Lilikoi or Guava soda...mmmmmm...heaven...

So I'm guessing some of the taco trucks there have Spam tacos - isn't that still a thing? I'm very curious, I have to say.

I never ordered one but i'm sure they have them. They actually even serve it at McDonalds too. The short history behind it is kinda cool: https://s3-media4.fl.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/slSKLoczC0Z-VVTjFDhkmA/ls.jpg

I like the stuff..really handy to take camping or to make into a musubi..or browned with some eggs..

Eh, I think this thread is making me hungry :hihi:

Since we are showing our tacos :hihi: this is my poison:
Cochinita pibil (pig seasoned with achiote and wrapped in banana leaves, roasted underground) with escabeche (red onions cured in sour orange), on hand made tortillas, with fresh habaneros.

I still laugh at this. I mean, if you're going to try to say unchecked immigration would lead to too many Mexicans, pick a bad stereotype or something, not Taco Trucks. People love taco trucks, taco stands, Mexican restaurants.

I mean, go with the New Orleans Katrina rebuilding Mexican stereotype or something.. like There will be Mexicans in every bar and they don't tip!
