Alvin Kamara loves it.
At this point, he said, he is asking for plays like the first one the New Orleans Saints ran from scrimmage Sunday (Nov. 18) against the Eagles, when the Saints took their explosive second-year running back and used him in one of the most vicious ways possible.
As a decoy.
“It’s unselfish football, that’s it,” Kamara said.
And this is why Kamara is so believable when he says he enjoys these decoy plays: On that first play from scrimmage, a healthy chunk of the Eagles defense flowed with Kamara when he motioned in from out wide and pretended to take a handoff wide to the left side of the Saints’ line. ...
