I know it's been mentioned on here before but are there any rumors that the Saints might look at this guy? I always like him on and off the field and think he is a monster when healthy. If the Saints are going to keep going after guys with injuries in their recent past then I would love to see them bring in Spikes.

I wanted him years ago before he went to the Bills, but not now. Unless he can play outside.

If I'm not mistaken he's played his whole career outside. Unless the Eagles moved him inside. His natural position is outside, I think.

He played inside with the Bengals and Bills. I remember him saying once that he was a better MLB than Ray Lewis.

2000:

* Started every game at RLB and posted a then-career-high 128 tackles, third-highest total by a Cincinnati player since 1976
Ok, now I have to figure out why I was convinced he was a MLB. He did play inside one year when they ran a 3-4.

We should have signed Spikes instead of Morgan...line-backing group would have went from worst to first....now we'll go from worst to top 15.

Why all the man-crush for Spikes? He was nice 3 years ago... he has concistantly been on IR since.

Same with Morgan... but maybe Dan Morgan was signed BEFORE the Spikes release was announced.

If Morgan and Vilma play up to their past potential with no injuries (unlikely) then we have a very good starting linebacking corps now.

Top 15 is very good....Spikes, Vilma, Fujita = Top 3

Unless they kept the Morgan signing a secret for the past 4-6 days...we knew Spikes was available before closing the deal. We would have paid more money for Spikes...but it would have been worth it...very high energy guy, by all accounts a man-beast.

Takeo Spikes has been cut twice in two years. That simply doesn't happen to impact players. Spikes is mediocre at best.
