I'll probably bump this thread or start something new like it during the season.
But anyway's today while driving to work down W. Hillsborough, i saw a sports bar called Rajun Cajun's and it has a Fleur De lis in Embeded in the words, it's close to Armenia about 5 mins from the Raymond James Stadium, on the Sweetbay grocery store side of the highway.

I wanna know if anyone has ever been in that place during the season, and whats the Atmosphere, I was wondering if saints fans go there mostly, I see a Buc and Atlanta Falcons helmet below the Rajun Cajuns lettering but was just Confused because the Bar has Saints colors all over it but Pewter and red on the doors and poles outside..

I was also wondering if this could possibly be a good place for us Tampa bay Saints fans to Congregate? It seems like a central spot, only problem is traffic that lets out of the Ray Jay during home games.

I haven't seen the place you are talking about but I did hear a radio commercial for some Mardi Gras place that runs through the middle of April. I don't know if they are just trying to capture that "Cajun" crowd, but pretty much every person down here is a Bucs fan. However, it would be nice to have a centralized meeting place us Saints fans can go to watch their games down here.

Don't know about that place. There is a bar in Ybor City where a bunch of Saints fans went during 2006. I wasn't able to make it during most of 2007. I can't for the life of me remember the name, but I heard its now in Centro Ybor.

There is a "cajun" place on Park Blvd in Pinellas Park that serves good food, Dixie, Blackened Voodoo, Crawfish (in season). It's right next to Wagon Wheel Flea Market. I know it's not Tampa, but for those that live in Pinellas County, it's worth the ride IMO.

i saw that place a few times, there's always a lot of buc's fans there so i never stop

p.s geauxboy MUCH LOVE for the heads up on the crawfish will be there this weekend

Cajun Cafe is the name of the place in Pinellas Park, it's as close as you can get to "home cooking"

Dat's da one. :9: I used to go fishing in that bayou/creek. If you launch from their parking lot and go north, there are MANY "bomb craters" as my dad and I put it that are stocked with reds and snook. Most of the creek is about 6 - 10 ft deep, but those craters are easy pickings on a hot day.

Thanx for the input guys, if that place is stocked full of Buc fans i don't wanna be in there..

I told ya'll i'd bring this thread back i'll do it again around the end of training camp but i needed to see what was posted..

I'll see if i can find that place off Centro Ybor i live 7 mins from Ybor so i can get there faster than any other place, I have Friends at Gaspers grotto on Ybor but it's Pirate themed and it's definately for buc's but they are nice people, i wore my saints jersey in there a few times and no one said anything out of line to me.

I did some research on the Cajun Cafe and i found the website and all of it's info.

I'll visit it but i don't think it's gonna be a place i'll drive all the way out to for saints games UNLESS a bunch of you guys are going to be there, otherwise Ybor is pretty good for sports bars and they have a bunch of Saints fans walking all around the place..

You guys would be very surprised how many Saints fans have taken over Tampa, puts a smile on my face seeing kids and young girls, teenagers and adults proudly walking around with their Deuce, Colston, Bush, Brees Jersey's i've even recently seen a guy riding a bike with an old A. Brooks Jersey on.

Let us know how the food is --
Jacamos in Orlando is pretty good on John Young.
Good food, Louisiana owned and operated.
Saints and LSU stuff everywhere -- no music though

I am in for a Tampa area Saints Group --

Keep us posted.

Matt

Sat right next to that darn pirates ship last year when the Saints traveled to Raymond James --- Was wearing my Black Duece Jersey.... Was so FREAKN hot man ... and I loathed everytime I heared that cannon go off. Galloway put on a highlight reel.
