The Saints claimed Taysom Hill off waivers in September of last year after the undrafted quarterback from BYU went through the Packers training camp & preseason. He would end up on the Saints active roster in December; but as a special team’s player. Still, Coach Sean Payton had a ton of praise for him as a QB.
Hill enters this year’s organized team activities in New Orleans with aspirations of being the #2 guy behind Drew Brees. How has it been for him now that he’s had an entire offseason to digest the playbook more?
“Oh, it’s so nice,” smiled Hill. “I feel like last year, you start to get into the game plans; the specific things, where it’s hard to get the fundamentals. To be able to start from scratch has been really big for me.”
