Taysom Hill should start at QB (vote) (1 Viewer)

No one should expect Teddy to come in and carry the offense like Brees does, that being said, Teddy just isn't good. He's been in the system long enough now to be competent at the least and he's not. The team will not rally behind him and he simply isn't good enough to win games with this bad defense.

Hill should start. Coach says he's the next Steve Young. You don't leave Steve Young on the bench. Teddy can be the backup. Give Hill a complete gamelan built around his strengths and go earn your five year extension.

We can win a few games with Hill. I am certain of that. The team will rally around him. He will carry us on his back.
They're certainly not going to rally around TB whining and acting like Can Newton every time something doesn't go his way. Such poor leadership. I've never seen Hill act like that even once.

It made zero sense to waste that much cap on a QB like Teddy that isn't going to win a game.
I would have been happy if he wouold have just made a first down so the defense could rest. The 'D' played lights out in first half, holding a top 3 offense to only 6 points. They just burnt out in second half because the O couldn't give them time to rest.

Yes, and it shouldn't even be debatable... Taysom gives us the best chance to win... He's essentially the same player as Lamar Jackson, but in a Linebacker's body... Taysom opens up the entire offense, and gives you unlimited ways to inflict big plays on the opposing defense with his legs... Bridgewater is what he is... a middle tier backup QB with a long release and bad pocket awareness....

I'm the first one to criticize Joe Buuck and Troy Aikman, but Aikman made a great point. To paraphrase, he said, "If Payton thinks Taysom Hill can be Steve Young, he should be starting. Steve Young is a Hall-of-Famer", and I agree with him.

Gardner Minshew came in as a rookie after Foles went down and went like 10-12. It has nothing to do with gameplan. Teddy does not process the game fast enough. It's glaringly obvious.

Exactly
