Ten penalties, 102 yards (1 Viewer)

Two things can be true at once. The team can be poorly coached/undisciplined and the refs can call inexplicably one sided games against the Saints.

So we have a poorly coached team that is turning the ball over and getting destroyed by the refs. It's the perfect storm for a terrible football team. Oh well, at least we'll have a high draft pick for Eagles fans to look forward to.

Well, I guess if anyone is a person friend with a senator they could call and see if one of their representatives could ask the nfl about fixing games.

Huge fumbles on O and STs.

Now a few of the penalties were HORRIBLE calls. No disputing that.

But the lack of discipline and attention to detail is crushing this team. And it’s on the coaches.

One thing Underhill talked about was how things have been more relaxed under Allen. The vibe was different because Payton was such a micro-manager (to the point where SP would get mad if there weren’t a certain number of sharpies in a cup).

Well, we’re seeing it now. The “little things” matter.
Ask the Giants what happened after the owners fired Coughlin after the players complained he was to tough on them. Haven’t sniffed a winning season since.

Never would have come to that.

Refs calls were bad and costly. Self inflicted errors were worse and more decisive.
The Saints overcame the 9 points lost to fumbles and the fake punt. The couldn’t overcome the ref assisted TD or the drive killing penalties by the refs at the end of the game. The no call on the obvious DPI committed against Olave was crucial. It cost the Saints 4 points. That 4 points could have resulted in a 1-point win for the Saints.

Ok maybe it’s all true. For the first 4 games we are not living up to the hype. But darn it yesterday was AGAIN stolen from us. I still believe in this team. So all you purests and blame the Sainters can take the high road but 36 hours later I am still POed

This all didn't start this year. This team has had penalty & turnover problems for years.

You are right about the officiating, it was pretty much one sided towards the end. But you also have to consider the 2 turnovers, the lack of discipline and penalties and 2 blown coverages and poor special teams play, played a big part throughout the game. Oh and don't forget bad play calling in the first half.
Right, even with the turnovers and mistakes we were in position to WIN the game. Those mistakes are already factored i . The bogus calls? Not so much.

We overcame our poor play and took the lead, but the refs wouldn’t let us ein.

It wasn't a penalty that gave the Vikings 17 yards on a 2nd and 22 after a sack with under 5 minutes to go in the game.
First, it was 7:33 minutes to go. But did you notice what happened after that particular play? Did you not notice how twice the Saints had stopped the Vikings on 3rd down, but one completely fabricated penalty against Mattheu and an another penalty that should've been either a non-call or offsetting penalties gave the Vikings 1st downs, the last one with a 35 yard gain as a cherry on top to the Saints 3? No? Well, here it is.
