This perfectly exemplifies the threat that the Kamara/Payton combo brings to the nfl. Payton of course is an offensive genius. If he can do anything it’s put his players in space to make a play. That brings us to Alvin Kamara. The guy simply is the most dangerous threat in the open field in the league utilizing a unique pairing of elite acceleration, vision, timing/patience, route running, hands, and the ability to twist and contort his body in never before seen ways to gain enough leverage to shrug off tacklers with ease.

We live in lucky times to be Saints fans.

1. This video is money!

2. The Saints trajectory is up.

3. Kamara, if he remains healthy, will be the MVP.

4. Props to the OP. :9:

100% agree. If the dude gets 2k scrimmage yards and continues his scoring trend (+25 tds at season end) he HAS to engender MVP consideration despite not being a qb. Buuuut if you watched that Seahawks game last night you know it’s going to be mighty hard to pull that award away from Russell Wilson who is absolutely taking his game to another level.

I heard on a interview yesterday with Brees with him saying that Kamara is one of the smartest players he’s ever played with, he has a very high football IQ. The way Alvin runs his routes and patiently sets up the defenders it’s easy to see why Brees believes that.

I completely agree. Ever since his rookie year it was palpable that Kamara is just on a different level as far as his understanding of the game, and his field awareness is all galaxy. He has an unparalleled ability to not only know where all his blockers And the defenders are on the field at any time but more importantly he has a knack for where they will be. That move he put on the defender during the 52 yd jaunt at the packers (hurdled a defender to initiate contact with a would be tackler to bounce him off easily) is a perfect example.

One of the best lessons o this video is how important it is for receivers to know which way they are supposed to break their route because the plays are timing plays Nd Drew will be throwing it where the receiver should be going. His is one reason why receivers have such a hard time learning this offense.
