With the New Orleans Saints due to start the regular season Sunday, one of the team's most valued players is "making progress" toward a return.
Terron Armstead, a left tackle who signed a five-year extension worth a maximum of $65 million in the offseason, was limited to seven snaps in the third preseason game and did not play with starters in the fourth preseason game.
He returned to practice this week, and the team listed him as a limited participant Wednesday and Thursday due to a knee/quad injury. He said Thursday "felt better than yesterday."
