AP - Texas has reportedly been invited to participate in the Lysol Toilet Bowl. After playing in the Rose Bowl last year, Coach Mack Brown says he thinks its an honor that such a bowl with as much tradition and history has interest in the Longhorns. "Our fans and our boosters will get to experience something far beyond they thought we could ever do after losing the only winner this program has ever had to the NFL." Coach Brown, or Mack Bizzle as the team calls him went on to say, "I finally went out and accomplished something I think the fans can be proud of."
After winning the National Championship last year, Texas started the season out with a cream puff team for the first game in an fruitless effort to 'tune-up' for the collassal beatdown they received in the second game at home. Towards the end of the season, Texas found themselves with a chance to lock-up the possibility of playing in the LTB. The perrenial powerhouse of the Big XII, Kansas State, was the opponent. Quarterback Coy McColt said, "After looking at what Baylor was able to do, we felt like we could run a few QB sneaks and put some points up on the board."
At the doorstep of achieving every preseason goal, KState embarrassed Texas. Left with one more chance, Texas was not going to disappoint twice losing to another powerhouse in TAMU. The rest is history. Another level of powerhouse status for Texas. The Lysol Toilet Bowl. Enjoy LC.
