They didn't win the game by being atrocious for 50 plays then having one good play, they just finally stopped losing it.
Well actually they were atrocious for 50 plays.

Not sure your point.

Only 6 possessions

Generated 27 points (we all know it should have been 31).

Kept the defense off the field. Gave us a chance.
I'm not sure there are any other QB's in the league who could have pulled off what he did today. Significant roles to 2 UDFA's in the passing game. Drew you continue to defy the odds!

Actually, they won it in both games. Whether they were atrocious for the rest of the game is not the point. The game was won by the defense on that LAST play because if they don't get a sack, the guy makes the FG and then anything can happen.

Atrocious? Ugh come on that's a bit harsh. Give some credit to the Panthers and Teddy Bridgwater. The other team has pro's too you know and their QB was a Saint so knows us very well.

What do you want? Us to hold every team to 0 points!?

They only punted once and despite our offense chewing up huge amounts of clock, they converted 67% of their 3rd downs.

They scored on 4/6 possessions and it was pretty darn close to 5/6 (big ups to Davenport on the sack to force that long fg though).

Our offense was practically perfect today (and controlled the clock) but the defense kept Carolina in the game with some poor effort and dumb mistakes.

I think there is a wide gap between expecting to hold teams to 0 points and thinking this defensive performance will be good enough moving forward.
