I know - and understand - that your impulse is to try to steer us away from divisive societal topics
but i appreciate that you are letting us discuss these very important topics
and i also appreciate that most posters are engaging in good faith discussions

These are the discussions that we will have to have. This is the only way to keep this alive and educate and heal. If we don't have these conversations, then we will be repeating the same mistakes that we made in the past. These conversations are the foundation of shining a light on and weeding out the people who are unwilling to change.
