i like this thread, i think it's an interesting topic-- but honestly i think it *should* be moved to the Politics board b/c- while i've never seen the show-- from everything i've read and heard, it is impossible to analyze how Palin's daughter has gotten this far without talking about how national politics has affected her stint on the show. JMO.

But what "politics"? The formula is the same....vapid & hollow. There is NOTHING "political" or issue / cause / legislation related to the attention-seeking, ego-driven pathology. The end (attention) justifies the means (media forum used).

There is about as much politics involved here as there is discussing Sanjah,William Hung, or Snooky

1.Attention seek
2. Believe the favorable press received
3. Come under scrutiny for not adding value
4. Embrace self-righteous victimhood from criticism.
5. Shelter self in vacuum echo chamber to reiterate your justification for attention

Create a cult devoid of context to where its actually similar to the apple vs droid discussions

I've never seen that show in my life, and have no desire to ever watch. However, I like seeing people getting ****** off. So, between now and next week, I've got to figure out how to vote so I can vote for Bristol Palin. I think the whole situation is hilarious. If she wins that will be the icing on the cake.
